In Canada, (where the moose are*) today is Canada Day. And today Canada celebrates 150 years as a “Country”. It was upon the enactment of the British North America Act, 1867 (today called the Constitution Act, 1867), Canada became confederated. But it did not become completely sovereign until April 17, 1982 when the 1982 Constitution Act was passed. So, technically as a sovereign Country Canada is only 35 years old. To this day, the government of the Province of Quebec has not recognized the 1982 Constitution Act.

Happy Canada D'eh!
