prayer-crossLife is short. Live it to the fullest you can. Let those you love know it! Laugh a lot and choose to be happy.

Yesterday we learned a friend’s daughter died in a motorcycle accident. She was the mother of three girls. I did not know her, but cannot fathom what our friends and their families are going through. Keeping them in our prayers. Always remember life is short. Anything can take a loved one away.

This morning when I woke up, I read of a friend and former work colleague that passed away. We hadn’t seen or spoken to each other in over ten years but had connected on Facebook. We had the occasional share or like on each other’s statuses. I will have fond memories of working with him in Reno. Keeping his family in our prayers.

Since I learned of my friend’s death, I had to hunt down another friend I lost track of that I know has health issues. I became concerned. We were once connected on Facebook, but he closed his account. We have mutual friends and I was able to find his new account that he created with his wife. I’m glad she accepted my “friend request”. These last few years he has been dealing with cancer. Last week he had been admitted to the hospital with complications. Thank goodness he is doing okay right now. Praying for his full recovery so he may be with us longer.

Life is short. Don’t take it for granted. Don’t dwell on negative emotions and feelings. Focus on things that bring you joy and make you happy. Be thankful every day that you have one more day to make a difference in someone’s else’s life. That you have one more day to tell someone you care about how you feel about them. And that you have another day to be thankful.
