On Saturday, August 15, 2015, I met four amazing people: Dr. Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, Gov. Scott Walker & Sen. Ted Cruz. They are each seeking the Republican Party’s endorsement to run for President in 2016. The event was Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt’s Inaugural Basque Fry at Corley Ranch in Gardnerville, Nevada.

I work with News Talk 780 KOH as the Producer for the afternoon host (and PD) Dan Mason. I coordinated the live on-air interviews with the presidential candidates for a special Saturday edition of Dan’s show. KOH is Reno’s 50,000-watt blowtorch that covers dozens of counties and two states. Needless to say, we are listened to by a lot of people. The candidates were able to reach a much larger audience than just the 1700 event attendees.

We also “rolled tape” on the speeches on the stage as well as the over-the-air interviews and will be posting those as podcasts on the radio station website at kkoh.com.
