Not sure why people prefer to give Facebook their content instead of owning it themselves.

Owning a domain name and having a website/blog is not complicated. It’s easier and cheaper now than it was just 5 years ago. To me it seems short sighted to not have one, if you produce a significant amount of content. If all you do is share photos and memes, then a website is overkill for you. But if you like to share opinions or thoughts, get a website. Own your content. I don’t share photos and have a dislike of memes, so I prefer to play on my own playground. Build it and they will come.
